Stash Bee- Hive Three- October Block-Honey Bun Block

Hello Stash Bee friends! I hope you are well in all this craziness of life. We are in the midst of a beautiful Fall here in Southwest Virginia. My kids are going to school in person for half days, my husband and I are tag teaming the virtual teaching, and trying to keep the house clean!

However, quilting has become even more of a solace than ever. I have made quite a few masks (still looking for the ideal pattern if you have one) and have enjoyed a lot of quilt alongs, including the honey bun quilt along you will find here! It is a super easy block to make. Very fun and easy to do.

Honey Bun Quilt- Along

Fabric pick for this block. Please use fabrics similar to these colors. You can also add soft purple if you want to as well. This quilt is for Ella Bea my eight year old.

I used a honey bun of Strawberry Jam by Corey Yoder.

1. Cut two strips WOF by 1.5 and sew with a scant 1/4 inch.

2. Cut the strip in half 2.5 by 21 inches, Using a scant 1/4 inch allowance, join the two strips to make a four strip set.

3.Cut the strip set in half to yield two pieces that are at least 10.5" long. Sew the two strips together.

4. Sew the two strips together, 8.5 by 10.5 and then cut 4- 2.5 strips from this block.

5. Sew the four strips together and you have the block! An easy block to make!
